Middle-Aged Eye Surgery: Surgical Effects by Area

Features by Procedure
Upper Blepharoplasty
It improves functional problems caused by drooping eyelids, such as obstructed vision, irritated skin around the eyes and reduced vision,
and creates firm, youthful eyes.

When Upper Blepharoplasty Is Needed
- Those whose loose eyelid skin blocks their vision
- Those whose forehead wrinkles have deepened because their eye-opening strength has weakened
- Those whose skin becomes irritated and raw due to drooping eyelids
- Those who are uncomfortable because their eyelashes poke their eyes
- Those whose double eyelid line has collapsed and makes them look older
Upper Blepharoplasty Surgical Method
Drooping eyelids are improved and the double eyelid line is refined for youthful, open eyes.
STEP 01Fat, stretched muscle and skin tissue
removed through a minimal incision
STEP 02The levator muscle is tightened
and then sutured
STEP 03A double eyelid line is created
for a natural eye shape
Lower Blepharoplasty
Changes caused by aging, such as skin sagging, wrinkles and fat protrusion, are improved for firm, bright under-eyes.

When Lower Blepharoplasty Is Needed
- Those who look harsh due to puffy under-eye fat
- Those who look older due to severe under-eye sagging
- Those whose under-eyes lack elasticity and look very wrinkled
- Those whose under-eyes look dark and sunken due to tear troughs
- Those who always look tired due to severe dark circles
Lower Blepharoplasty Surgical Method
Tiny incisions and precise suturing minimize scarring while improving under-eye fat protrusion and loss of elasticity at the same time.
STEP 01Minimal incision
preserving orbicularis oculi nerves
STEP 02Fat removal, repositioning
or septum reinforcement
STEP 03Remaining excess skin is excised
and sutured, preventing ectropion
Sub-brow Lift
When the space between the eyes and eyebrows is narrow and upper blepharoplasty is difficult,
lifting below the eyebrows reduces the burden of scarring and creates youthful eyes.

Why a Sub-brow Lift Is Needed
- Those whose drooping eyelids block their vision
- Those who want only to correct drooping without creating a double eyelid
- Those who want to improve both drooping eyelids and crow's feet
- Those whose eyelashes poke their eyes due to drooping eyelids
- Those with a narrow space between the eyes and eyebrows
Sub-brow Lift Surgical Method
Sagging is improved through an incision below the eyebrow for youthful eyes without a change in impression or scarring concerns.
STEP 01Customized design and surgical planning
considering aging patterns and eyebrow position
STEP 02A tiny incision along the underside of the eyebrow,
then loose skin is trimmed
STEP 03Sagging muscle is pulled up and fixed,
then delicately sutured
STEP 04Firm, clear eyes
without visible scars

Middle-Aged Eye Surgery FAQ
-
It is performed after checking the condition and structure of the eyelid skin, muscle and fat.
Upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty, sub-brow lift or other necessary methods are applied in a customized way. -
Surgery is performed considering both functional improvement and a natural change in impression.
We avoid excessive lines and over-resection, and also consider harmony with the face as a whole.
-
Upper blepharoplasty improves the upper eyelid and has limitations in removing wrinkles at the outer corners of the eyes.
In this case, a sub-brow lift is needed to also improve wrinkles on the outer part of the eye. -
Since surgery is performed considering the muscles and tissue that form the aegyo-sal, the aegyo-sal can be preserved.
In some cases, the aegyo-sal even looks more defined as the under-eye skin is naturally refined.
